Hostgator rip off your affiliate fees?
December 1st, 2008 by admin | Filed under Hosting.People think that hostgator is a cheater who likes to rip off their affiliate. However, I don’t think they are outright scammers. Even no matter what they do, you will find that something you don’t know about.
There are some “things” you need to know where you will lost your affiliate fees.
First, your customer must stay for 60 days and pay. In other words if they don’t pay the second month of hosting, you don’t get paid.
Second, if they used a VCC you don’t get paid.
Third, if their hosted site has no content on it, you don’t get paid.
Lastly, if your lead pays the second month payment late, you don’t get paid.
I lost over $4,000 in commissions from them last January because people would pay their bill late. The only way around this is to get the people to pay for 12 months upfront.
If they do this your commission will instantly be locked.
